A CPA explained that the IRS was the employer of last resort for new CPA graduates. As a result the IRS is made up of C students. Because the tax code is so complicated the C students are overwhelmed and require the support of… even more C students. This is the recipe for every uncreative inefficient and bloated bureaucracy out there. What this means is that everything we do including travel, health, banking, taxes, who you speak with on the phone, who you email, virtually every movement we make is being monitored by a “Confederacy of Dunces” and it’s costing us a fortune, not just in national treasure but in the dismantling of our democracy. We have got to find a place to gather and be counted.
