EMBRACING RESPONSIBILITY

There are 535 members of congress, split roughly 50/50 Republican, Democrat. I’ve come to understand that the vast majority of these people are mediocre. This mediocrity has made the country vulnerable to various entities, special interest and lobbyists whose motivations are self serving and don’t take into consideration the well being of the entire nation. We find ourselves vexed, the people tasked with solving our problems are the same people who created them in the first place. All of this is accompanied by a nagging awareness that because of democracy, the responsibility for this epic, systemic failure falls onto the shoulders of “We The People.” It’s time we embrace our responsibility for the sake of future generations of the American people.
