My observation over the years is that people tend to fixate on “Their” solution, as if the solution is an extension of themselves and they take modification suggestions personally. My obsession is production. I understand going into any project that I don’t know what my initial actions are going to put into motion. I only know that two weeks from initiation nothing is going to be as I thought. Personal obsession of solution is the death knell of production.
Our college kids are being tasked with writing very small bits of regulation with the idea of saving hundreds of billions of tax payers dollars. There is no way of knowing the result of what they are putting into motion. We need to be completely cognizant of what is happening in real time. Our regulation must be small, limber, responsive and quick to change at the drop of a dollar.
