Systemic Inefficiencies

I know of a psychologist who was hired by the Veterans Administration. There was a probationary period that came with the hiring and a strong suggestion that the psychologist not try to make any changes in perceived systemic inefficiencies. Systemic inefficiencies define the VA and every other bureaucracies out there. This is exactly what Normal was built for with its three tenets: 1) The Philosophical: Expectations of Efficiency Through Creativity. 2) The Mechanics: A small diverse group of our nations best and brightest, who are absolutely fixated on small, trajectory altering solutions that have an enormous impact, short and long term. 3) Engine of Change: All powered by millions of Normal Joe Republicans and Democrats who together feel an enormous responsibility to future generations. We’ve got to try.
